Conno Gudger Hensley, age 82, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at the Solace Center in Asheville.
Born August 19th, 1939 in Yancey County, he was a son of the late John Henry and Bell Hensley; and husband of the late JoAnn Fox Hensley. Conno was also preceded in death by sisters: Ruth Wilburn, Thelma Hensley, Nina Hensley, Maudie Edwards, and Eula Mae Edwards; brothers: Vestel Hensley, Woodrow Hensley and Lee Hensley.
Left to cherish his memory is a brother, William Hensley; and a son, John Hensley. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 4th at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends and family an hour prior to service time. Reverends Scotty Williams and Mark Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow in the Simms Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Burnsville.
