Wanda Peterson Miller, age 58, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1st, 2022, at her sister’s home surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Peggy Letterman Peterson. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Andy Austin.
She was an employee of Baxter Laboratories for over 36 years. She enjoyed going to concerts and the beach with her sister, Rachel, and camping with her family. Wanda loved her family and, quite simply, loved life.
Surviving is her son, Cody, and wife, Shaylee, of Marion; two sisters: Rachel Austin of Burnsville and Theresa Briggs (Keith) of Green Mountain; two brothers: Rick Peterson (Vickie) and Roger Peterson (Lydia) of Green Mountain; nieces and nephews: Lindsey, Timmy, Ryan and Josh; along with several cousins and numerous friends.
Receiving of family and friends will be held from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 8th, in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service.
