Jesse Ray Robinson, age 79, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on January 3rd, 2022, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.
A native of Texas, he was a son of the late Fredrick and Grace Gray Robinson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Robinson; a sister: Brenda Braswell; and two sons, Mickey Robinson and Scott Robinson.
Jesse was a foreman for Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC) where he worked for 30 years. He was a hard worker and very kind person who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and restoring cars and engines.
Surviving is his wife of 18 years, Donna McCurry Robinson; two sons: Bryan Robinson (Cindy) of Mississippi and Gary Robinson (Sandy) of Tennessee; two daughters: Cindy Edwards and Candy Silvers (Cilias), both of South Carolina: a stepson, Scott Hall of Asheville; a stepdaughter, Shannon Pittman (Jim Bob) of Morganton; 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Receiving of friends will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, January 10th in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at P.O.
