Donald Wyatt, age 85, of Pine Avenue in Spruce Pine, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on September 14, 1936 in Yancey County, he was the son of the late Preston and Thelma Gouge Wyatt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Wyatt.
Donald was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. In his spare time, he loved to do woodworking projects. He also enjoyed watching and feeding birds.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of sixty-four years, Anna Lee Wyatt of the home; his son; Richard Wyatt and wife, Barbara of Spruce Pine; his daughter; Patricia Glenn of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren; Chris, Brian, and Travis Wyatt and Anna Glenn; his great grandchildren; Carson, Henley, Jacie, and Forrest; his brothers; Clarence Wyatt of Tennessee and Jerry Wyatt of Mooresville, NC; his sisters; June Woody, Linda Angel, and Lucy Dellinger all of Burnsville; several nieces and nephews.
