James Edward Steen, age 90, of Burnsville, passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.
A native of Buffalo, New York, he was a son of the late Elman Steen and Lillian Christiansen. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Steen.
He spent his life as a teacher of Industrial Arts at Cleveland Hill Highschool in Cheektowaga, New York.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sue Weis Steen, of the home; son, Wesley (Laura) Steen; two daughters: Linda Little and Gretchen Steen; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Amanda; three great-grandchildren: Sophia, Madilyn and Jacob.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 15th at 3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Burnsville, NC. Reverend Steve Elderbrock will officiate.
