Helen Muriel England, age 87, of Indian Creek, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Burdette and Belle Johnson Deyton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edd England, in 2020; her treasured son, Dale England, in 2021; son-in-law, Mark Daniel; two brothers-in-law, Leland Scott and Ralph McMahan; and one sister-in-law, Vinita Deyton.
Spending most of her life loving and caring for her home and family, Helen also worked as a trainer at Shadowline and was a very industrious lady.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Joe (Retha) England and Philip (Brenda) England; daughter, Donna Daniel; daughter-in-law, Doreen England; brothers: Stanley Deyton and Warren (Ann) Deyton; sisters: Marlene McMahan, Anna Scott, and Mary Ruth (Harold) Blevins; as well as nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Indian Creek Baptist Church at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones two hours prior to service time. Pastors Philip Garland, Charlie Foster, and her grandson, Jonathan England, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Higgins Family Cemetery on Paint Gap in Burnsville.
