Freeda Karen Boone, age 79, of Burnsville, went Home on Friday, January 28th, 2022 surrounded by her family.
A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late James and Daisy Hall Young. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Warren Young; and six sisters: Wilma Boone, Allie Buchanan, Floy Gage, Geneva Boone, Jean Grindstaff, and Verna Huskins.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Wallace Boone, of the home; son, Steve (Lois) Boone; brother, Bill (Marie) Young; sister, Barbara McQueen; grandchildren, Chelsea and Brett Boone; and one great-grandchild, Josie Johnston.
Private Family Services will be held Wednesday, February 2nd in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Reverends Chad Wise and Dale Banks will officiate. Interment will follow in the Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery in Micaville.
