JC Robinson died peacefully at home, passing through the gates of his Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
He was 88 years old. JC was born at home in Double Island, N.C. to Liddie and Earl Robinson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Mae Ballew Robinson, to whom he was married for 69 years. Also surviving are: JC’s three children: Shelia (Larry), Keith (Patsy), and Pam (Bill). His living siblings are: Paul, Homer (Jean) and sister-in-law, Essie Ballew Bartlett. He was predeceased by siblings: Charles, Guy, Loraine, Worley, Maude, and Madge.
Other surviving family members are JC’s and Anna’s three grandchildren: Jason, Amanda, Shanna (Wesley) and seven great-grandchildren.
JC was a true mountain man. He worked hard, loved his cows, fields, family, and Lord. He was a trucker, farmer, Gideon, church superintendent, Sunday school teacher and Deacon. He was also a Korean War veteran.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to family and friends for their loving support. A very special thank you goes to Cigi and Autumn and all the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge. An additional thank you goes to Yancey Funeral Services.
A service will be held at Fairview Baptist Church on Seven Mile Ridge at 3:00 on Thursday, February 10th. The family will receive friends at the church at 2:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Ballew Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Sgt. E.L. Randolph, Chapter #57 D.A.V.
JC will be sorely missed by his family and community.
