Wesley Chevis Foy, age 66, of Spruce Pine, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, at his home. A native of Haywood County, North Carolina, he was the son of Katie McKay Foy and the late Charles Foy.
Wesley served two terms as Mayor of Spruce Pine and worked as a manager for US Cellular for many years.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Joan Foy, of the home; sons: Nathan (Donna) Laws, Lance (Caitlin) Laws, and Cale (Amber) Foy; daughter, Katie (Kyle) Watson; brothers: Wayne Foy and Mark (Dana) Foy; sisters: Sandra Virga, Jan (Greg) Wells, and Kim (Lonnie) Miller; grandchildren: Shea Laws, Ryan Laws, Flynn Laws, Killian Foy, Arthur Foy, Parker Watson, and Evan Watson.
A celebration of life will be held in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2 p.m. Reverend Vern Grindstaff will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Spruce Pine Police Department at 193 Valley Road, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
