Georgia Harding Dale, of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Smoky Ridge Rehabilitation & Health.
She was 98 years old and only 4 days away from being 99. She was the daughter of the late Hughie and Maggie Jones Harding. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edd Dale; son, Doyle Dale; sister, Emma Grace McPeters and husband, Brownie; brothers: Charlie Harding and wife, Violet, Ted Harding and wife, Velma; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Madge Harding; and brother-in-law, Floyd Wilson.
Surviving is her daughter, Donna Higgins (Gordon); grandson, Shane Dale (Heather); great-grandsons, Easton and Couper Dale; daughter-in-law, Joyce Dale; sister, Shirley Wilson; brothers: Homer Harding, J.C. Harding (Eloise), Wade Harding (Wanda); and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Georgia was a lifelong member of Pleasant Gap Baptists Church, which services she never wanted to miss. She was a prayer warrior and helped her church in any way needed.
Georgia was a blessing of love to her family. The “apple of her eye” was Easton and Couper, who she babysat until they started school.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 26 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Fred Young Cemetery on Double Island in Green Mountain.
