On Saturday May 4th, 2022 officers attempted to stop an ATV on Blue Rock Rd. 39 year old Daniel Wayne Warren of Burnsville was operating the ATV and fled from officers.
Deputies were able to locate Warren at his residence, where he was arrested and transported to the Yancey County jail.
Warren also had outstanding warrants from two other counties and was charged with Felony Flee/Elude Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, Resisting Public Officer, Felony Larceny, Second Degree Trespass, (2) counts Failure to Appear on Misdemeanor, Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Felony Breaking and Entering, Driving While License Revoked, and Reckless Driving-Wanton Disregard.
Warren is being held in the Yancey County Detention on a $41,000 bond.
