Faye Greer, age 92, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil J. Greer, who died in 1991. She received her Associate Degree in Business. She was the administrative assistant for the Spruce Pine School System in North Carolina. About 18 years ago, she moved to Nashville to be with her family. One of her favorite flowers was an orchid. You could always find her reading a good book.
She is survived by son, Jim (Lisa) Greer; grandchildren: Jennifer (Matt) Gilley, Julie Greer and Cody (Brianna) Clark; great-grandchildren: Owen Gilley, Avery Gilley, Tristan Bush, Parker Clark, R.J. Morgan, Aiden Clark and Jayden Clark; and brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Gibbs.
Visitation and funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 17th, 2022, at 6 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. A second service will be held in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services on Tuesday, June 21st at 3 p.m. Rev. Jim Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow all services in the Carroway Cemetery in Burnsville, NC. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
