Did you know that the Social Security Administration has a program for Extra Help to pay for the Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)? If eligible, premiums are reduced or eliminated; deductibles are reduced or eliminated and prescription drugs are very low cost. Also, this program eliminates the Coverage Gap (or donut hole). Applicants can also opt to have their application submitted to Dept. of Social Services to see if they are eligible for the Medicare Savings Program which would pay for the Medicare Part B premium.
