Linda Nell Eller Jones, (Granny), 76, of Avery County, died peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Yancey House in Burnsville, NC.
Born on July 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John Hayden and Clara Miller Eller. Linda loved the Lord, was an avid cook and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Granny.” Linda was a member of Heaton Christian Church in Elk Park, NC.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a Brother: Johnny Hayden Eller, Jr. and Daughter: Robin Annette Bowers.
Left to cherish her memories are her Husband: A. Durl Jones, Sr.; Sons: Rodger Hayden Gwyn (Nikki), Derrick Shane Gwyn (Michelle), and A. Durl Jones, Jr (Jaime); Daughter: Denise Jones; Sister: Gail Eller Mozuch; and Son-in-Law: James Bowers, as well as 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A small outdoor service will be held at the Heaton Cemetery at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 8.
