Public Help Needed Spotting Turkeys

Officials with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission are asking for the public’s help in reporting sightings of wild turkeys this summer.

From July 1 to Aug. 31, 2022, wild turkey sightings can be recorded and reported to management biologists.

This is to give the commission an indication of annual wild turkey productivity, gobbler carryover and population trends, all which help manage the state’s turkey population.

People can enter their observations online from any smart phone by filling out a form.
