Judy Burleson Ingram Cantrell

Judy Burleson Ingram Cantrell, age 80, of U.S. Hwy. 19-E, the Spear community in Newland, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Care Partner Solace Center in Asheville.

Born on July 1, 1942 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Helen Hughes Burleson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Ingram who died in 1996 and her second husband, Bruce Cantrell who died in 2012 and her daughter, Lori Ann Ingram.

Judy was a member of the Plumtree Presbyterian Church and she was a homemaker and later retired from Mayland Community College where she served as a custodian. She loved spending time with her family. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and doing crafts and going to Hobby Lobby. She loved her dog, Twigs that passed away about a year ago and her cat, Kermit.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons; Vinson Ingram of Spear and Brian Ingram and wife, Joanna of Spruce Pine; her brother; Keith Burleson and wife, Sheila of Pineville, NC; and her grandchildren; Lauren, Lindsey, Christian, and Blake.

A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home. A private burial will be in the Yellow Mountain Cemetery.
