Clifford McPeters, age 79, of Indian Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 after a courageous battle with bladder and thyroid cancer.
He was a son of the late Wilburn Thomas McPeters and Rosa Lee Shepherd McPeters. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Wilburn Thomas McPeters, Jr., John Patton McPeters and Alice Elkins. Clifford was a owner and tire salesman for McPeters Tire.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 59 years, Ethel, who resides in their home in Indian Creek; daughter, Tina Burleson of Spruce Pine; son, Tony McPeters and wife, Teresa, of Micaville; grandchildren: Luke Presnell of Asheville, Megan Dingman and husband, Mike, of Weaverville, Keaton Burleson and wife, Jessica, of Bakersville; Mikayla Garland and husband, Paul, of Indian Creek and Brinkli Burleson of Spruce Pine; great-grandchildren: Landre Dingman of Weaverville, Shelby Presnell of Asheville, Dawson and Kallen Garland of Indian Creek and siblings: Helen Lee Austin and husband, Ned, JoAnn Goforth and husband Haven and Mary Will Garland. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
A small memorial service will be planned at a later date.
