Randy McIntosh, age 69 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late James and Louetta McIntosh, and stepson of the late Bill Harris.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Cynthia McIntosh; sons: Joseph Daniel McIntosh, and Matthew Scott McIntosh; daughter, Ashley Nicole McIntosh; uncle, Danny Randolph; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Anita Gayle (Pete) McKinney, Pamela (Joey) King, nephews and nieces: Brinton (Ayla) McKinney, Lucas (Lauren) King, Nyssa (Shelby) Silver, Hali (Heath) Smoak; as well as great nieces and nephews: Holt, Lane, Cade, Tate, and Bexley.

Randy was an employee and manager of the Nu-Wray Inn for 16 years. Randy loved serving the people of Yancey County and developed lasting relationships with clients and their families. After 24 years of service to Yancey County DSS, Randy retired to sit in his rocking chair on the front porch. He loved going to church at Celo UMC, going to concerts, listening to music, but most of all, telling tales about the good ole days.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, September 2, 2022. The family will receive friends and loved ones two hours prior to the service for visitation. Reverend Warren Lunsford will officiate.
