Amanda Dale, age 43, of Dale Road in Spruce Pine, the Grassy Creek community, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on September 5, 1979 in Avery County, she was the daughter of Chuck and Rosemary Grindstaff. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; George Wright and Joe and Nell Howell.
Amanda was a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church. God was most important to her and first in her life. Along with her husband, she was the owner and operator of Dale Lawn Service. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of kids. She enjoyed reading and working in her garden.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Adam Dale of the home; her sons; Kenny Dale and Karson Dale both of Spruce Pine; her daughter; Autumn Dale of Spruce Pine; her parents; Chuck and Rosemary Grindstaff; her grandmother; Margaret Wright of Newland; her brothers; Logan Grindstaff and wife, Candace of Bakersville; Zach Grindstaff of Spruce Pine; and Chuck Grindstaff, III and wife, Cherie of Leicester and her sister; Dawn Owings and husband, Todd of Stanley, NC.
A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 beginning at 1:00 pm at Grassy Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will be immediately following the visitation at the church. Interment will be in the Grassy Creek Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Austyn Self, Tanner Dale, Jacob Hoyle, Payton Lowery, Luke Hensley, and Joe Glenn. Honorary pallbearers will be; Donald Dale, Mike Hensley, and David Shuford.
