J.T. Randolph, age 86 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Isaac and Madge Wheeler Randolph. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Callie Morrow Randolph; as well as brothers: William Dexter, and George “Buck” Olen.
He was a graduate of Appalachian State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in education. He was a hard-working man who loved gardening, golfing, and woodworking. He was a retired school teacher, but was also a well-known farmer and businessman.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Lillian Silvers and husband R.L.; children: Kenneth Randolph, and wife Angela of Burnsville, Anthony Randolph, and wife Kelly of Burnsville, Ronnie Randolph, and wife Karen of Burnsville, Jeff Randolph, and wife Missy of Burnsville, Mark Randolph, and wife Cindy of Hickory; grandchildren: Casey, Joseph, Hanna, Lucas, Zachery, Levi, Bailey, Micah, Evan, Callin, and Canah; great-grandchildren: Aiden, Alice, Kinelee, and Liam; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Sierra, Mike, and Autumn and others with Hospice of the Blue Ridge.
The family would also like to say a special thanks to Missy Randolph, Lucas Randolph, Shirley Yelton, Stacy Weaver, Alanna Bailey, and Anita Carmack for the exceptional care that was given.
A private family service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on October 5, 2022, at Higgins Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the J.T. & Callie Morrow Randolph Family Cemetery. Reverend’s Keith Miller and Adam Bradford will officiate. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be planned for a later date.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Blue Ridge at 284 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
