Ingrid (Maw Maw) Stamey age 75 of Grassy Hill Drive, Spruce Pine the Grassy Creek Community passed away Monday October 3, 2022, at her residence.
Born in Lenoir County, NC she was a daughter of the late Matthew Mark and Miriam Virginia Haddock. She was preceded in death by a brother Matthew Mark Haddock, Jr. and a sister, Susie Annie Elizabeth Haddock.
Ingrid worked as a CNA, she loved taking care of the elderly, she loved and adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren but most of all she loved her Lord Jesus Christ.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 56 years Ronald Stamey of the home, daughter, Denise Mode and Raymond of Spruce Pine and son, Sonny Stamey and Georgia of Spruce Pine, grandchildren, Kristene Mode (Chris), Raymond Mode, Jr., and Hannah Burleson (Nathan), great grandchildren, Bryanna, Kaylee, Mason, Samuel, Desmond and Felicity. She is also survived by three sisters; Tabitha Louise Garner, Glendora Pennington and Marsha Wallace.
A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Pine Branch Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Bobby Joe Greene officiating. Interment will be in the Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery.
