Frank ‘Buster’ Wise, Jr., age 80, of Estatoe Acres in Spruce Pine, passed away Monday, November 1, 2022 at Smokey Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in Burnsville.
Born on January 28, 1942 in Avery County, he was the son of the late Frank Wise, Sr. and the late Gladys Dellinger Wise. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Wise.
Buster was a member of the Emmaus Road Baptist Church in Spruce Pine. He was retired from KT Feldspar of Spruce Pine following thirty-eight years of service. He loved his church, attending church services and his church family. In his spare time, he enjoyed working Bible puzzles.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty-nine years; Betty Sue Buchanan Wise of the home; his daughters; Regina Wilson and husband, Tim of Morganton and Janet Ledford and husband, Ronnie of Burnsville; his grandsons; Kyle and Grayson Ledford; his granddaughter; Hannah Wilson; his great grandsons; Miller Smith and Colton Ledford; and his sisters; Lois Frye and husband, Thomas of Mills River, Louise Yelton and husband, Alvin of Spear, Lou Ann Elliott and husband, Ricky of Spruce Pine and Doris Freeman of Spruce Pine.
Graveside services and burial will be on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev’s Steve Robinson and Tim Wilson officiating.
