Kenneth David Welch, age 85, of Rebels Creek Road in Bakersville, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his home.
Born on February 1, 1937 in the Relief community of Mitchell County. He was the son of the late Carl Henry and Gladys Snavely Welch. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Welch who passed away in 2021 and a sister, Helen Bartlett.
He was a graduate of Michigan State University with a M.B.A. in Sociology. Locally, he was a Real Estate Broker with Klondike Reality. He enjoyed the quietness of being at home and reading his Bible on a daily basis.
Left to cherish his memory is his son; Mike Welch and wife, Georgia of Bakersville; his grandchildren; Jeff, April and Nathan; and his great grandchildren; Madelyn, Garrett, Scarlett, and Amelia.
In accordance with Kenneth’s wishes, no services are planned.
