Peggy Sue Buchanan, age 60, of Washburn Road in Spruce Pine went into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Pitman Buchanan. Upon the death of her parents, and her brother Ricky Buchanan, Peggy Sue was being taken care of by her loving brother and sister-in-law; Ronnie and Elizabeth Buchanan of Spruce Pine along with her sister; Georgia Buchanan of the home.
Left to cherish her memory is her siblings; Charles Buchanan, Homer Buchanan; Anna Lee Rich; Rev. Arthur Buchanan and wife, Anita; Doris Ann Mace; Shirley Newton and husband, Joe; Andrew Buchanan; Tommy Buchanan and wife, Kathy; Jerry Buchanan and wife, Ruth; and Rev. Robert Buchanan and wife, Vickie. She also leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the First Freewill Baptist Church on Tempie Mountain Road with the Rev’s. Ralph Hedrick and Arthur Buchanan officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Graveside services and burial will be in the Buchanan Family Cemetery on Washburn Road.
