Byron Matthew Brittain, age 49, of Rockledge Road in Spruce Pine, the Swiss Pine Lake community, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his home.
Born on January 16, 1973 in Biloxi, MS, he was the son of the late George Brittain and Barbara Stewart Brittain who still survives.
Byron was a veteran of the U.S. Force. He had been employed by KC Electrical Company in Spruce Pine and ALTEC in Burnsville. He enjoyed wrestling and race cars. He was a sports enthusiast and his favorite team was Tar Heel basketball and he also enjoyed reading.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother; Barbara Brittain of Spruce Pine; his son; Zackary Brittain of Florida; his sisters; Charlotte Gardner of Bakersville, Billie Smith of Nashville, TN and Bobbie Robinson of Burnsville; and his extended family including his aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services will be planned for a later date.
