Jessica Hobart Ringwood, age 45, passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2023 at Mission Hospital, surrounded by people who love her.
Anyone who knew Jessica loved her and will remember her smile, her infectious laughter, her joy for life, and her giving heart. She was a loving mother, dedicated educator, and lifelong Special Olympics volunteer.
Her pride and joy were her three daughters; Kyndal Ringwood, a junior at UNC, and her twin daughters; Lauren and Kathryn Ringwood, sophomores at Mitchell High School and one special niece; Regan Woodlief. Jessica worked for Mitchell County Schools as a braillist. She has impacted countless lives and will be greatly missed by many.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents; Sarah Hobart and John and Debbie Hobart, her sisters; Whitney Hobart and Summer Tidwell, her daughters; Kyndal, Lauren, and Kathryn Ringwood, her niece; Regan Woodlief, and an important part of her village, her aunt and uncle; Reid and Amelia (Mimi) Duncan, along with several cousins and other aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date.
