Congressman Chuck Edwards Coming To Area

Newly elected 11th District Congressman Chuck Edwards is visiting the district’s 15 counties this week. In a news release, Edwards said, “My priority as Western North Carolina’s congressman is to start my term meeting with constituents and listening to their concerns. I’m looking forward to visiting every county in our district and hearing about what matters most to WNC. I also hope to learn about any challenges that constituents are facing so that my staff and I can help them with federal agencies or provide other services.” Congressman Edwards will be in our area on Friday and Saturday. Friday in Madison County at 9 am for a law enforcement and first responders’ roundtable, at the Madison County Sheriff’s Department at 9 a.m in Marshall. Then at 11 am for a forum with McDowell Chamber of Commerce and economic development leaders in the Universal Board Room, 1170 Tate Street, Marion. On Saturday in Yancey County for a breakfast meet and greet at Pig & Grits restaurant at 8:30 a.m. at 620 West Main Street, Burnsville.
