Max Robert Potter, age 37, of Banner Elk, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12th, 2022. A native of Avery County, he was a son of Kay Teaster Potter and the late Max Michael Potter. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Frances Teaster; paternal grandparents, Marie and Max Potter and an uncle, John Teaster, Jr. Max loved the Lord and was a brave, trusting, sweet, generous, and big-hearted man. He would go without to help someone in need.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Kay, is his sister, Jessica Potter (Mac); aunts: Carol Ollis (Danny) and Melinda Williams; uncles: Stevie Teaster (Patty), Philip Teaster (Saundra), Terry Teaster (Kelly) and Michael Teaster (Heather) and a nephew, Maddoc Potter. Many cousins and friends also survive.
Private graveside services were be held in the Laws Cemetery.
