Nope, and still doing just fine

The person who is better off now works in the private sector, VERY small business, while the other family member works on a production line in local industry. Us independent people and working class people without guaranteed income have to plan and not overextend so as to be able to not just take care of ourselves, but to still be able to spend money at the businesses of our friends and neighbors. We are sometimes spending more on groceries at the moment, but we have never bought expensive cuts of meat anyway, so it’s not a problem, really. Still have a good supply of beans and know how to cook them. Since we both work close by locally and don’t have long commutes, the price of gas isn’t really much of an issue. We converted from fuel oil a long time ago since that didn’t seem like a good idea anymore. I’m sorry you are not doing as well, but maybe you should check with some of your neighbors who don’t and have never had their own business and those who have no idea what you are talking about when you reference a guaranteed income. We may never have been as well off economically as the business owners or the folks with whatever income you are referring to, but we tend to be a bit happier it seems.
