As an independent American taxpayer in Mitchell County who is quite involved in the community among a lot of very different people, the only thing I recognize at all about the description of Mitchell County I read here is a propensity over time for the old leadership to do things behind closed doors, something that I thankfully see some of our younger people changing. Bring it all out in the sunshine. Say the quiet parts out loud. Then maybe no one can say we have communism in Mitchell County and be taken seriously.
