The elected officials might be doing a good job for you but ask the other percentage of Mitchell County. Why would I want to watch big talk and little do? We talk ,we talk, the elected read the comments-you can talk till you are blue in the face but if they don’t listen what good is it? Have you seen any new ,good paying jobs being brought in and how many have left ?More leaving than coming but they are doing a good job!!!!How come we can’t get a Lowes or a Home Depot, Tractor Supply ,Harbor Freight, etc like McDowell,? We have needs that the local stores can’t supply(tools,tractor parts, riding mowers)!If they are doing such a good job why are we having to go to another county to get what we need-that is why McDowell is doing so good. Do the elected go and shop out of this county at stores listed above? How can the taxpayers of Mitchell County live and work here when there are no jobs and pay 5 commissioners and others that are special interest groups ?They sure don’t work for nothing and want to put a burden on the people that are here. Have they listened over the years, in my opinion ,NO.
