Do you ever ask yourself what you get out of paying property tax? I have and I think all my money is being used for is to pay for another unnecessary government job or a program we could do with out! When has their been cuts made in county government? When times get hard, money short what do you have to do? You have to cut spending,right? Maybe you get two jobs, but you have to make changes right? Why is there not programs or positions cut in government? Well, they just keep raising taxes. Its an easy decision when it’s not your money, especially when that money is used to pay your salary. Are you not tired of paying higher and higher property taxes and getting no benefit from it? Well we do have a boutique hotel. How is that going? What’s the occupancy rate? Property tax is getting out of hand. You can go in front of the five or six tax collectors and they will explain to you how your 1965 single wide trailer is worth 200000 now. What are you going to do, vote the same people back in? If it stays on the same tourism track that they have been on for decades now, ordinary people won’t be able to afford to live here. They hope they can replace you with some rich retiree and they can keep their unnecessary made up job. But just keep voting the same people back in it will be fine.
