Let’s move into REALITY. Older people that work their entire lives and now get social security (their own money back, by the way, paid into the system), have to supplement that income with a job. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy their retirement, they can’t afford to. That’s such a shame considering the cost of everything. If they were fortunate to have savings to supplement social security in their old age, the difference in the cost of what they need is substantially higher now, hence eating their savings away.
