I am against partisan school boards in small rural counties like ours because they will give you no idea how your neighbors see the world, only a false impression of that based on information, much of it false, that is not relevant to our local children taught by local teachers in our local schools. It is so important today not to be drawn into the partisan battles stoked by people in Raleigh and Washington who don’t know us or our children. We must stand up to these people forcing conflict and unnecessary government intervention on us in the form of partisan school board elections. This is not a game to win, these are our children.
