I’ve noticed a lot of complaints from people saying young people don’t want to work. I’m a 32 year old single mom and I grabbed the first job in Mitchell county willing to hire me while I finished school….business degree, and I still work part time cleaning houses. $9 an hour with less than 20 hours a week isn’t enough to keep good employees. You could even raise that to $12-$15 an hour but if you’re still working less than part time then there’s no point. If my whole paycheck is going straight to babysitting then that defeats the purpose of having a job, especially as a one parent household.
My best advise to everybody struggling financially, don’t rely on just one income stream. That’s been my saving grace. I get regular royalties and dividends deposited weekly and it’s only cause I invested a couple hours one day uploading digital content I either made or purchased rights to on different websites.
