My comments are also based on personal experience as a person who applied for work, got the job and then worked in a place where affirmative action policies were in place. I am very familiar with situations in which applicants assume that “the black lady” hired or whoever isn’t them isn’t more qualified than the person who applied for the same job. Just never actually found that to be accurate in my personal experience.
