Reece Laws age 81 passed away peacefully at the Smoky Ridge Health & Rehab in Burnsville on Tuesday March 14, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of the late Lester and Ruby Edwards Laws and was preceded in death a daughter, Melissa Laws Edwards, grandson, Christopher Robinson, his wife Betty Coffey Laws and four brothers, Lee Roy, Homer, Harold and Mack Laws.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Patricia Harmon (Joey) of Spruce Pine, Tammey Wilson (Arlen) of Green Mtn., Angie Miller (Tony) of Poplar, Kelly Kline (Patrick) of PA, stepdaughter Michelle Hill of Burnsville, brother, Junior Laws, sisters, Grace Sturgil, Berma Robinson, Bonnie McCurry, Mary Medford, Lena Robinson, Jane Deyton and Kay McMahan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ethan McKinney, Candice Woody, Justin Wilson, Audrea Miller, Kristina White, Trisha Laws, John Edwards, Ryan Edwards, London Longenecker and Chelsea Longenecker, and great grandchildren, Alyssa, Shelby, Jack, Tatem, Ryker, Aubrey, Harlee, Ivie, Kaden, Charlie, Braverleigh, Dawson Aiden and Calisi.
A graveside service and inurnment will be held in the Laws Family Cemetery in Green Mountain at 3:00 pm Saturday March 18, 2023.
