The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Mitchell County Center is having a Teen Cook Camp the week of April 10-14th, spring break.
The camp will be from 3-5 pm Monday-Thursday and 2-6 pm Friday.
The teens will learn basic cooking skills, meal planning, budgeting and it will be a lot of fun. We will be using a curriculum called Cook Smart, Eat Smart that is very hands-on and includes a lot of taste tests.
It will be free to ages 13-18, and each teen will receive a $20 gift card at the end of the week. The last day, we will be preparing supper for their families, who will be invited to come and enjoy what their children have learned.
The location is TBA, and free transportation will be provided by Mitchell County Transport.
