Sarah Elizabeth Mizell, age 30, of Burnsville, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of Karen Ayers Mizell and the late William Frank Mizell. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James Mizell; maternal grandparents, Leonard Ayers and Shirley Riddle Ayers.
Sarah worked in the medical field as an LPN for Elderberry Healthcare. Her last gift to the world was being an organ donor.
In addition to her mother, left to cherish her memory is her loving fiancé, Todd Shipton; brother, Jesse Daniel Mizell; two beautiful children, Chance Fox and Jade Shipton; and grandmother, Ouida Carter of Florida. Also surviving is a host of loving cousins on both sides, and many aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons International at P.O. Box 264, Burnsville, NC 28714 or to Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home to assist and support the family.
Private Family Services will be held in the Fred Young Cemetery on Green Mountain, NC.
