Man Arrested For Slashing Woman’s Throat

Marshall Police Chief Mike Boone said Thomas Fecke was charged Friday night, March 24, following an incident at his apartment in Marshall. He was charged with disorderly conduct and discharging a firearm, among other charges. He made bond and was released from jail.

Then, early Sunday morning, Fecke is accused of being involved in another incident in Hot Springs. Chief Boone says a woman’s throat was slashed. There are no details on her condition at this time.

The suspect had already fled the crime scene when authorities arrived. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation processed the crime scene.

Fecke was apprehended by Sgt. Kenny Brown with the Marshall Police Department at about 11 a.m. Sunday morning.

He is currently in custody at the Madison County Sheriffs Office under a 500,000 dollar bond.
