For my entire lifetime …and I’m no spring chicken… some Americans or some part of our economy has been energy “dependent” which is, indeed, a shame, but is predictable given the regulatory policies of the state and federal governments and the business practices of the energy industry. That did not happen in “a few short years.” The “soundness” of the “money supply” sounds all fancy and smart to people who know what that means. It means little to those who don’t and never had the money being “supplied.” As for jokes, comedians and authoritarians all over the world grieve for their loss of joke material after the former president left office. I’m no fan of the current president, really, but it is nice to have a break from all that hilarity. And not only do we have a break, the last president only had a few short years, not enough time to completely destroy the country, thank heaven!
