Capitalization of race

In recent years AP style for journalism requires journalists to capitalize the word “black” when referring to skin color or race, but not capitalizing the word “white” when referring to white people by skin or race. Let newspapers and other news outlets know that capitalization matters. Capitalizing is used in writing to signify importance. Don’t support journalism that seeks to divide people by attempting to make one race more important than the other.
