There is no one I’ve seen in this forum “justifying” anything about an incident in a massive mall in a place very far from here, an incident between “mall cops” who obviously didn’t know what they were doing and a man repeatedly in that place on private property. As noted, last weekend in downtown Spruce Pine in the middle of a festival, people were preaching on the streets on sidewalks in front of businesses who did not mind what they were doing in their doorways. Some folks walked by them, some people crossed the street not to have to, but no one told them they couldn’t be there of what they couldn’t wear.
People being denied service in a restaurant or any place that provides a service to public is not the same as people who enter a private business to disrupt the service. Once the not so bright “mall cops” were straightened out about the shirt, the man who was apparently willing to no longer harass the shoppers stayed. He would have been thrown out before if he’d been handing out “tracts” and recruiting for anything, including a gang, a cult or selling Amway.
Get the context right, those who insist on continuing to tell the story, please just tell the whole story. The whole story is about a lot of human beings screwing up in a mall none of us will hopefully ever have to go to. Shop locally. Go to church locally. Don’t shop or don’t go to church if you don’t want to. No one is persecuting you for your faith or your lack of it. If anyone tries to persecute you locally about that and we’ll all have advice about how to stop it, I’m sure.
