Walmart in Weaverville was briefly evacuated Sunday due to a report of smoke on the roof.
Lt. Fox with the Weaverville Fire Department said crews were called out for a report of smoke coming from the Walmart on 25 Northridge Commons Parkway.
The smoke was coming from an air handler unit on top of the roof caused by a burnt belt. No fire had broken out.
The Walmart was evacuated for about 15 minutes before everyone was able to return back inside.
