Christene Higgins Angel, age 78, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Emma Elsie English and Murph Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Wade Angel; sons: Murph Nathan Angel, James Ronald Angel, and William Molt Angel; brother, Harold Silvers; and one grandchild, Jonathan Whitson.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her daughters, Emma (Dee) Collins and Natasha Angel; brother, Carlos Albright of Florida; grandchildren: Robert Silvers, Matthew Wheeler, Autumn Collins, Nicky Angel, Nena Angel, Christian Angel, Fonda Angel, William Angel, Willorie Angel, and Jamie Allen; as well as 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and a very special niece, Victoria Silvers.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 3 o’clock. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in the Angel Cemetery on Jacks Creek.
