Cynthia “Cindy” Hensley Briggs, age 60, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7th, 2023 at her home. Cindy was born on June 28th, 1962 to the late Joe and Barbara Dellinger Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jason “Moose” Briggs. Cindy enjoyed shopping, watching TV and animals of all kinds. She especially loved her grandkids.
Surviving is her daughter, Ashley Stevens and husband, Jeremy, of Burnsville; grandson, Adam Elsaesser; granddaughter, Kimberlynn Stevens; sister, Mary Ray and husband, James, of Burnsville; nieces: Summer Phillips, Suvannah Scott (Justin) and Santana Wright (Seth); great-nephews: Eli, Ashton, Asher and Aidan; nieces: Bella and Ava and her grand-dogs: Nova and Rayne. Several other extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Nick Briggs and Rev. Ralph Hedrick will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James, Luke, Justin, Seth, Randy, Stanley, Dwayne and Marty.
