I do, indeed, ask myself “why” every day about all kinds of things. But sometimes I think more importantly, I ask myself, “Who?” Who is this “we” some people keep taking about? Who are “our people”? Who is the “them” in question? It’s usually pretty clear I’m not considered one of “we” by the folks trying to turn people against each other. And the way they bandy about “our people” would be downright scary if the ones saying it weren’t so laughably gutless about the whole thing. And the them those same people keep pointing fingers at? “Them” are apparently often friends of mine. Sure, some of those friends make mistakes, some of them have made big mistakes, but it’s kind of weird to try to pin everything wrong in anyone’s life on one group of people. Knowledge is power. Learn. Figure it out, folks. The dividers and deniers aren’t our friends.
