A fire broke out at a lumber store in McDowell County Sunday morning just after 10am. Nine Fire Departments responded to the scene.
McDowell County Emergency Services Director William Kehler said the fire was at Forest City Pallet, located at 5159 Harmony Grove Road.
Traffic around the business was affected during fire operations. An alert from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) says both directions of Harmony Grove Road, near Gaddy Road, were blocked off until just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
No injuries were reported from the incident and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
