When a person writes:
“Like the proverb says”
They know people will assume the Bible. Most likely they thought that line was in the Bible. If they didn’t want to associate the hell hath no fury line to the Bible, they would have wrote:
Like the famous play says…
But they didn’t, they only flipped their script when they were informed it isn’t in the Bible.
They knew what they were doing and how people would assume what they were saying was from Proverbs in THE BIBLE.
