Tony Ogle, age 75, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 22nd, 2023 at his home. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Rotha and Ruth McIntosh Ogle. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Dennis and Morris Ogle. Tony was a member of South Toe Baptist Church who enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He loved hunting, fishing, sight-seeing and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memories is his sons: Randy Ogle of Burnsville, Brandon Ogle and wife, Brinkley, of Green Mountain and Daniel Moss and wife, Sharon, of Spruce Pine; grandchildren: Madison, Maya, Colton, Remington, Tennie, Brionna and Jordan; four step-grandchildren; step-daughters: Sandra and Mandy Fox; brother, Ronnie Ogle of Burnsville and a sister, Kay Smith and husband, Blake, of Burnsville. Several nephews, nieces and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Rev. Earl McPeters will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ogle Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
